Australia Will Introduce A Cryptocurrency Licensing System To Modernize Its Financial System
As part of larger measures to modernize the nation's financial system, Australia will propose a new framework for regulating crypto firms next year. Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Assistant Treasurer Stephen Jones said that regulatory architecture had not kept up with the new digital products and services. To help establish right custody and licensing regulations and decide which digital assets should be governed, a consultation document will be made available in 2023.
