Coinbase May Abandon United States Due to Regulatory Uncertainty
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has stated that the exchange would consider relocating from the US if the regulatory uncertainty persists. Speaking at Fintech Week in London, Armstrong commented that the regulatory environment in the US is unclear, leading to a lack of clarity for the crypto ecosystem. While he views the US as having the potential to be an important market for crypto, he believes that the lack of regulatory clarity may cause the exchange to consider investing elsewhere in the world. Armstrong praised the regulatory atmosphere in the UK, with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as the sole regulatory agency for securities and commodities.
